The Scientific Committee (SC) is responsible for scientific direction and approval of existing and new projects, making recommendations to the EC. It is is accountable to the GC. The role of the SC is to:

  • Receive and follow fair process to review and evaluate identified research gaps and priorities

  • Create linkages with other networks

  • Be responsible for data access and governance of appropriate statistical analysis planning

  • Review internal and new project protocols and proposals and provide recommendations to the EC

  • Be accountable to the GC, including scientific direction of projects

  • Form sub-committees to timely review new project proposals, at the direction of the chair
