Call for Abstracts - Children’s Healthcare Canada (CHC) Conference
Children’s Healthcare Canada (CHC) has announced a call for abstracts for their upcoming conference from May 31 to June 2, 2026. The POPCORN Leadership Team sees this as a fantastic opportunity to showcase the important work being done across our network.
To support participation, POPCORN will cover conference registration, travel, and accommodations for one presenter whose abstract is selected by POPCORN Leadership.
If you are interested, please submit your abstract (poster or oral presentation) to sarah.ahira@micyrn.ca by 12:00 PM EST on October 8, 2025. The approved abstract will be announced by October 15, 2025. Following this approval, the successful applicant will be responsible for submitting their abstract directly to CHC per their instructions and reporting back to POPCORN if they are selected.
We look forward to highlighting POPCORN’s achievements on this national stage and encourage you to share your great work!
IMPaCT Training Awards
The IMPaCT Training Awards for the 2026-27 cohort are now being accepted, and this year, we will be co-funding one Early Career Researcher training award for a project focused on pandemic readiness. Please note that the recipient of this award must be/become a POPCORN member at the time of receiving this funding.
What is an IMPaCT training award?
IMPaCT training awards facilitate participation in a 1-year immersive learning experience with assigned mentors and deliverables. The IMPaCT program is designed to give you the skills and network to design, conduct, and communicate about clinical trials with pregnant people and children (neonates through adolescents).
Applications will be accepted until 5pm CT on October 17, 2025. The application form and additional award information can be viewed here. For any questions regarding the application process or IMPaCT program, please contact IMPaCT at impactrials@gmail.com
