POPCORN Conference 2026

As mentioned on our Travel page, flight tickets can be booked through Marilou Poitras (marilou.poitras.hsj@ssss.gouv.qc.ca) and will be covered by POPCORN along with hotel rooms for POPCORN members who have been invited to attend this year’s conference in person. Flights and hotels will be paid upfront by POPCORN for attendees invited in-person.

Additional eligible expenses include: taxis, public transportation, parking, and vehicle mileage ($0.60/km) to and from the hotel and up to $100 total for food expenses during the conference and travel period (receipts required; alcohol not included). These expenses will be reimbursed after the conference with receipts.

Travel to and from the conference for invited in-person attendees will be arranged and booked directly through a travel agent. Please contact Marilou Poitras (marilou.poitras.hsj@ssss.gouv.qc.ca) to book your flights.

When contacting Marilou Poitras for travel arrangements, please include the following information:

All room bookings at the Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel can be booked directly with the hotel this year. POPCORN will be covering the cost of invited in-person attendees’ rooms up front during the conference.

However, attendees will need to use their credit card for any incidentals.

Attendees can also extend their stay at the preferred rate of $279/night for 3 days before and/or after the conference at their own cost. Please contact the Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel to learn more and book an extended stay.

You may submit your conference expenses for reimbursement after the conference by completing the form and attaching all receipts here. Reimbursements are done via cheque by mail or by direct deposit.
