Bios for Conference Keynote Speakers:
Dr. Caroline Quach-Thanh
Caroline Quach-Thanh is a pediatric microbiologist, epidemiologist, and infectious diseases specialist. She is a professor in the Université de Montréal Faculty of Medicine and served as the Chair of the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, she co-led the creation of the Pediatric Outcome imProvement through COordination of Research Networks (POPCORN) and was POPCORN’s Network Principal Investigator until Fall 2025. As of September 2025, Dr. Quach is the Québec Chief Medical Officer of Health.
Dr. Carlo Giaquinto
Carlo Giaquinto is a Full Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Padua, Italy and Honorary Professor at University College in London, UK. He is an internationally recognised expert in paediatric infectious diseases, with a long-standing commitment to advancing clinical research in children, particularly in low- and medium resource settings. He has led and contributed to numerous international research networks and collaborative projects and is currently president of the PENTA ID Network.
